ArtHop Guidelines
This document provides general, non-inclusive guidelines to follow as participant-art venue for ArtHop.
- Participation in the Fresno Arts Council’s (FAC) ArtHop requires a location to exhibit artwork.
- ArtHop (exhibit/reception) are free to the public on the first Thursday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If for some reason you are unable to open on a particular month, notify FAC and we will do our best effort to notify the general public via e-mail that you will be closed. In addition, please update your website page and post a note on your door that you are closed for ArtHop.
- If alcohol is served at the reception, you are responsible that minors (under 21 years) are NOT served alcohol.
- Artist(s) are encouraged to be present during ArtHop to discuss artwork with the public.
- ArtHop sites will be supplied with ArtHop brochures to be promoted in a visible location. Brochures are available at the FAC office.
- Website: Each ArtHop site is responsible for updating their information in the ArtHop website at www.fresnoarthop.org. Technical assistance is available in person or via phone conference, as well as "how-to" tutorial on how to update the site shall be posted on the Fresno Arts Council wiki (fresnoartscouncil.org/wiki).
- FAC ListServ: We maintain an opt-in electronic mailing list that reaches potential visitors to your venue. E-mail your information for sending to this list to mfranco@fresnoartscouncil.org.
- To subscribe (or unsubscribe) at no additional charge in order to receive event information go to: http://fresnoarts.info/mailman/listinfo/fac-list_fresnoarts.info.
- Each ArtHop site is encouraged to release promotional materials to the media once a month in advance of event. Also send your event information to mfranco@fresnoartscouncil.org so she can forward to Fresno Famous, MindHub, Undercurrent and the media, and/or provide the event materials for distribution to the public that walk into our office for ArtHop information.
