Exhibit: A William Raines'
Invitational Bicycle as Allegory: In Appreciation of William SaroyanOpening ArtHop, April 3rd, from 5-8 pm - reception Open Saturdays and Sunday, through April 26, from 12-4.
Corridor 2122 will host the largest group of artists assembled by William Raines for a special exhbit in appreciation of William Saroyan. This exhibit will represent various themes of William Saroyan's writings that reach into the spirit of his praise for freedom, community of neighborhood, kindness and brotherly love as human ideals that encompass personal dignity.
These are the times of our LIVES............What better ground can we hope to travel if not on a bike?
this exhibit will represeent these themes that encompass compassion, personal dignity and freedom. The bicycle represents an approach to freedom and exploration enabled from the onset when one receives that first bike and has the opportunity to set out on his or her own. There are few boundaries and constraints as one sets forth to ride out on a new bike in search of new frontiers and adventures yet defined.
